Three Element Drum Level Control

In this workshop, boiler drum level is maintained at setpoint through the automatic adjustment of feedwater flow to the boiler drum. Boiler outlet steam flow is a measured disturbance to the drum level and thus is included as a feedforward input in the cascade level control. The boiler drum level process and level control are shown below.
