Process Characterization — Exercise Three

The objective of the process characterization workshop is to characterize a process by making step changes in the process input. The trend chart for the workshop should be used to examine the process response to changes in the process input.

Step 1. In the process characterization workshop, set the disturbance set to 40. Adjust the valve to 50% and observe the response using the chart.

Step 2. Once the process output (LEVEL_MEAS) is above 60%, change the AO setpoint to 40 and observe the process output.

Step 3. Change the process disturbance from a value of 40 and observe the process response.

Question: Based on the observed response, how should this process be classified?
