| Wednesday, October 10, 2012: | REMINDER: Tomorrow at 8am in Hilton Monterey Mark Nixon and Terry Blevins will lead the short course, The Semantic Web — An Inside Look at the Creation of Control Loop Foundation, Session 4-1924, at the Emerson Global Users Exchange The book Control Loop Foundation, the first book in the Foundation Series, and its companion website ControlLoopFoundation.com have been widely used. One of the reasons for this was the team's decision to allow access to study materials and labs from a wide-variety of PCs and Tablets. Doing this required putting a web interface on top of DeltaV, supporting multiple browsers, and providing access to continuous and historical data from web pages.

| Tuesday, September 18, 2012: | Terry Blevins will teach Course 9025: Control Loop Foundation to introduce students to process control basics and provide practical hands-on control experience using DeltaV. The first book in the foundation series, Control Loop Foundation, will be used as the text for this class - with each student receiving their own personal copy. This course is for engineers, managers, technicians, and others that are new to process control. The 4-1/2 day course covers the concepts and terminology that are needed to understand and work with control systems. Upon completion of this course the student will be able to effectively work with and commission single and multi-loop control strategies.
